Here are the best places to eat in Yeppoon and Capricorn Coast!
Set in the heart of downtown Yeppoon, and directly across from the beach, Vue is an ideal choice for lunch or dinner. The soaring ceilings and modern design create a relaxed dining atmosphere, and the service was on point.
We spent an evening at Vue indulging and we can confirm that this is one of the best places to eat in Yeppoon.
The menu is classy and bold, yet still offers creative options for every taste. A very big contender for the top spot on our Yeppoon restaurants list.
A highlight for me was the starter of seared scallops, roasted pork belly, and truffle cauliflower puree. Bliss!

This is one of Yeppoon’s most popular local spots.
Located on James Street in Yeppoon, it’s just a short stroll from the beach. Come here and enjoy a relaxed breakfast or lunch, alfresco style or grab a good coffee-to-go.
We like that the menu has main meals or smaller options such as toasted sandwiches or wraps if you’re craving something a bit lighter.
This restaurant has a ‘paddock to plate’ philosophy, and we absolutely love this concept.
Ross, the owner of Beaches Restaurant, built a 2-acre market garden producing fresh, organically grown, and chemical-free produce for his restaurant.
The restaurant was busy when we came and locals told us it is one of the best places to eat in Yeppoon by far.
His permaculture farm is located in a beautiful setting overlooking Yeppoon and is home to many free-ranging animals too. Fresh produce is picked daily and delivered to the restaurant to create some super fresh dishes you can stop by to enjoy.
We spent an evening at Beaches restaurant grazing on a variety of different dishes. Meals are generous and full of flavour, and service here comes with a smile. The alfresco dining section is perfect to sip chilled wine and enjoy warm sea breezes.

You can’t miss this funky place as you wander along the main street in Yeppoon, right across from the beachfront. This is THE PLACE for great coffee in Yeppoon.
Better yet, tuck into the Churro nets with ice cream alongside a salted caramel espresso. Delicious! All of the food here is fantastic, the hardest decision is to decide on what to choose. It’s all so good!
We love that they have their own brand of ‘keep-cups’ for purchase here too. Don’t miss this place, hands down one of Yeppoon’s best places to eat.
Want to taste the best local beef and produce in the area? It’s all found right here at the Waterline Restaurant. Located at the Keppel Bay Marina, this place offers a relaxed atmosphere with some of the friendliest customer service I’ve experienced in a long time.
We stopped by for breakfast and the food was exceptional. Marty devoured her eggs benedict with delicious hollandaise sauce and fresh salmon.
She said this was one of the best places to eat in Yeppoon for brunch and she was right.
I chose Cowboy’s Benedict. This is a twist on the standard eggs benedict, except it comes with tender sliced Banana Station eye fillet beef underneath.
The Waterlineās owners also own a cattle farm, Banana Station. The beef dishes on the restaurant menu here come directly from their farm, making it the only place to enjoy this premium beef. Oh, and the coffee here is fantastic too!

Looking for a place to enjoy great coffee, delicious cakes, and scrummy choices for lunch? Put this little artisan coffee shop on your list.
This is the kind of home-cooked food you’ve been craving. We recommend the almond croissants with a fresh coffee at breakfast and you need to stop by for a soup at least once during your visit.
One in Rockhampton is a vibrant, modern venue to add to the best places to eat in Yeppoon!
Ha! Yes, we know, it’s not located on the coast in Yeppoon, but as most visitors will pass through Rockhampton, we had to add this in.
Cocobrew covers all bases! By day, enjoy breakfast or lunch in the Cellar Restaurant. We recommend both the Avocado Bruschetta or eggs benedict with smoked salmon. We’d love to return to try the beef cheeks on the dinner menu next time we’re in town, it sounds divine.
If you’re just after a small bite to eat, I’d recommend their Tapas menu and then a few drinks afterwards in the adjoining Whiskey lounge.
If you haven’t found a place to stay, they even offer short or long-term boutique apartments here too! For a relatively new venue, CocoBrew seems to tick all the boxes! Watch this space…

Located on beautiful Quay St in Rockhampton and alongside the banks of Fitzroy River, The Boathouse is an ideal venue.
With floor-to-ceiling glass walls and a huge breezy deck, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a meal and a few cold drinks in a vibrant atmosphere.
The breakfast menu here is popular, but if you arrive after 11.30 am, I highly recommend the fresh fish burger for lunch.
