What do you know about Kuwait? A country where oil is cheaper than water. For real! A land of desert plains, lively restaurants, and bustling bazaars. If you scratch the surface of this small Gulf state, you’ll discover warm local hospitality, fantastic food, and proud locals.
The good news is that is easy to get to Kuwait and explore the capital Kuwait City. Certainly not as sparkly as other major cities in the Gulf countries such as Dubai or Abu Dhabi, it feels a bit stuck in the older days. But we absolutely loved the Souq Al-Mubarakiya, the oldest market in Kuwait. You’ll find everything from traditional costumes, spices, Persian silk carpets to jewelry and authentic Arab antiques. And of course, take a selfie at the famous Kuwait Towers.
