Welcome to Angola!

High prices. Colonial history. Beaches.

An oil-dependent country that has been closed off from tourism for a long time, mostly due to strict visa policies. However, now that has changed as Angola have introduced an E-Visa which makes it much easier for the curious traveler to enter. There is no denying that this is an expensive country and the capital city of Luanda is known as one of the most expensive cities in the world, yet with a population of 30 million people, around half still live below the poverty line.

The history of Angola has experienced more war than peace and you can feel the Portuguese influence from the colonial architecture, the people and the food.
