About Turkmenistan

The 7th least visited country in the world and the most unexplored of Central Asia’s ‘stans, Turkmenistan is one of the strangest countries ever.  The capital of Ashgabat is full of massive marble monuments and golden statues of the former leader, Saparmyrat Niyazov.  This city feels like one big marble theme park, yet no people are there to enjoy any of it.  Where are they all?
