Often referred to as ‘the roof of the world’, what Tajikistan lacks in creature comforts for travellers, it certainly makes up for with natural beauty. Let’s not forget about kind, genuine locals who will literally go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible with simple comfortable home-stays and home-cooked food. It doesn’t get much more real than this.
