Let’s Go! 17 Best Danang Vietnam Restaurants and Places to Eat:
MI QUANG
Mi Quang is a popular Vietnamese noodle dish that originates from the Quang Nam province in central Vietnam. It is known for its vibrant colours and distinct flavours.
Mi Quang typically consists of thick rice noodles, cooked meat or seafood, various fresh herbs and vegetables, and a flavourful broth or sauce.
I was told that if I wanted to enjoy THE BEST Mi Quang noodle dish, then this is where I’d find it.
NU DO Kitchen also happens to be a restaurant owned by Carol Pham, a runner-up from a season of Masterchef Vietnam.
The restaurant is set in a beautiful little courtyard at the front of her house, it’s very relaxing and green. The menu is focused on Mi Quang noodles and you can choose from beef, chicken, fish, or vegan option too.
I enjoyed the snakehead fish Mi Quang and it was sublime.
The thick noodles were incredibly fresh and the broth under the noodles was wonderful. This is easily one of my favourite meals from many weeks spent travelling in Vietnam.
Address: 11/1 Lưu Quang Thuận, Bắc Mỹ An, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng 550000, Vietnam
This Danang restaurant was recommended by locals, and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular; the Mi Quang dish is fantastic.
Choose from chicken, beef, fish, or pork and enjoy a generous bowl for breakfast or lunch at a great price.
It closes around 2 pm, so come for breakfast or lunch before they sell out.
Address: 121 Đỗ Bá, Bắc Mỹ Phú, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng 550000, Vietnam

SEAFOOD (FRESH & SUPER AFFORDABLE)
Da Nang is fresh seafood central! You will notice fish tanks with all kinds of seafood on every corner and out the front of every seafood restaurant.
And be prepared, there are many seafood restaurants here!
4) Nhà hàng Bà Rô
I was lucky to enjoy dinner here with a group of five friends who currently call Da Nang home. They frequent this place regularly for the super fresh seafood and because the prices are unbeatable. They tell me that prices here are a third of what I’d pay along the ‘main drag’ in Da Nang.
The first thing I notice is that this seafood restaurant is packed with locals! It’s loud and busy with groups of friends and families here to eat good food and enjoy a cold beer.
This restaurant is located away from the main beachfront area of Da Nang, but it’s only a Grab motorbike taxi away to get here which will only cost you a few dollars, and the journey time is about 15 minutes.
I left my friend to order all the food. We enjoyed the biggest oysters I’ve ever eaten, with a tasty sauce and crispy shallots on top.
The sea snails in butter sauce were delicious, complete with some crusty baguettes to mop up all that sauce. We ordered a bowl of ‘chip-chip’, otherwise known as clams cooked in a delightful broth.
Among other dishes and lots of cold beer, this whole steamed fish (pictured above) served with rice paper and salad to ‘wrap and roll’ the perfectly cooked fish was fantastic!
This was one of my most memorable fresh seafood experiences to date. And the best part about it was that split 6 ways, the bill was around VND 220,000 per person, which is less than 10 USD each!
And, that includes a couple of beers each too. Unbeatable prices and exceptional seafood!
Don’t miss this place. Easily one of the best Danang Vietnam restaurants for seafood.

COM TAM
Com tam is a popular Vietnamese dish that translates to “broken rice” in English. It is a specialty of southern Vietnam and is commonly enjoyed as a hearty, filling meal.
Com tam gets its name from the use of broken rice grains, which are fragments of rice that are smaller in size compared to regular rice grains.
A great place to try Com Tam, or broken rice dish in Da Nang.
I recommend Com Suon Nuong, which is rice served with a grilled pork chop on top.
The pork chop is marinated in lemongrass, fresh herbs, and a tasty sauce before being cooked over a charcoal grill. It’s important that the pork takes on the smoky flavours from the grilling process.
This little restaurant delivered on smoky taste and portion size. I recommend.
Address: 175duong Nguyễn Văn Thoại, An Hải Đông, Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng 550000, Vietnam
Another reliable spot to get a tasty plate of Com Tam with sides of whatever you wish.
This restaurant is in a good location, less than a block from My Khe beach, and the price is right too. Starting from VND 55,000 for broken rice with grilled pork chop, there are many options to customise your meal.
And if you don’t feel like eating meat, choose stir-fried morning glory or stir-fried bean sprouts and order this alongside some steamed rice if you like.
Address: 132 Nguyễn Văn Thoại, Bắc Mỹ Phú, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng 550000, Vietnam
Order This Dish: Com Suon
Price: VND 55,000

7) Bao An Macrobiotic
This restaurant is special! Everything they make here is by hand, the noodles, the delicious sauces and broths used in each dish – and the menu changes daily.
I enjoyed a number of dishes in this breezy little outdoor restaurant, located in one of the quieter neighbourhoods which definitely adds to its charm.
The Com Dia (rice of the day, picture below) is VND 50,000 and it’s a generous plate of goodness. They make a wonderful vegetarian Mi Quang noodles dish, and the noodles are incredibly fresh.
Com DiaVeg Mi Quang
My favourite dish is the Bun Ram, hand-made noodles with vegetable spring rolls, salad, and the most delicious peanut sauce under the noodles, so be sure to mix it all up before you dig in.
This dish is pictured below.
This restaurant also has a small shop inside where they sell noodles, rice, and many food items that you won’t find anywhere else.
I highly recommend coming here and enjoying a meal whether you’re a vegetarian or not; the food is honest and delicious.
Order This Dish: Com Dia (Rice of the Day) OR Bun Ram
Price: VND 50,000 on average for a dish
8) Bodhicitta | Vegetarian/Vegan Restaurant
Tucked in the corner of a quiet little neighbourhood, this restaurant is a hidden gem.
The menu changes daily and they offer dishes such as Indian curries with rice, noodles with tofu and vegetables, noodle soup, and vegetarian banh mi too.
An average dish, offering a generous portion is VND 30,000. If I lived in Da Nang, this would be a place that I’d visit regularly.
Great food, lovely staff, and unbeatable prices.

Khong Vegan Kitchen is a hidden gem. A little local restaurant is found in the backstreets and totally worth a visit.
The menu has many options to choose from, such as brown rice and Indian chickpea curries, colourful salads, mushroom burger, tacos, and both fresh and fried spring rolls. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff are super friendly.
They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating available and the food is cooked with love.

BUN
In Vietnamese cuisine, “bun” refers to a type of rice noodle that is commonly used as a base in various dishes. These noodles are made from rice flour and are typically thin and translucent.
Bun noodles are gluten-free and have a soft, slightly chewy texture.
“Bun” can also refer to specific dishes that feature these rice noodles as the main component.
I revisited Thia Go Restaurant on several occasions during my time spent in Da Nang. It was conveniently located less than 10 minutes walk from my accommodation and I really enjoyed the food.
The restaurant itself is breezy, clean, organised and the staff is very attentive.
They offer a great menu with many Vietnamese classic dishes, and the banh xeo (a crispy, stuffed rice pancake) is huge, and very popular here! The fried spring rolls are also spectacular, with or without meat.
The dish below is the Bun Nam Oyster mushrooms (noodles with spring rolls & oyster mushrooms) and it was delicious!

11)Quán Bé Út – Nem Lụi & Bún Thịt Nướng
You will notice in Da Nang that many little restaurants are simply set up in front of people’s homes, and they cook from their own kitchens. Food from these kinds of restaurants is home-style, simple, and tasty.
This little restaurant is nothing fancy, but the flavours were great, the portion generous, the price is very affordable and the hosts are really friendly.
I enjoyed a bowl of Bún thịt nướng (noodles with grilled pork) at this restaurant and it was great.
Address: 90 An Hải Đông 1, An Hải Đông, Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng 52000, Vietnam
Order This Dish: Bun Thit Nuong (noodles with grilled pork)
Price: VND 30,000
12) Art Coffee
This cute little coffee shop is located on a quiet residential street, the perfect place to enjoy a chilled drink and escape the heat.
The price for drinks here is very fair, starting from just VND 12,000. The owner makes egg coffee, fruit juice, and flavoured fruit yoghurt too.
I’m a fan of coconut coffee here, served with coconut cream with a shot of espresso over ice, plus it’s much cheaper than most of the other coffee spots in the city.
The sweetest lady that runs this small cafe is an artist and you should check out her art at the same time.
There are a number of street food markets in Da Nang, but the Dragon Bridge Night Market is a good place to go if you’re only going to visit one market.
13) Dragon Bridge Night Markets
Here you can find some great seafood and quintessential street foods such as banh xeo, mi quang, grilled meats on sticks, and much more.
After you’ve finished eating, wander over and check out the views of the ‘Dragon Bridge’ and the city at the same time.
Note:If you time your visit, you can watch the dragon on the bridge blow fire at 9.00 pm every night, and it lasts for about 5-10 mins.

BANH XEO
Banh Xeo is a famous Vietnamese dish that can be described as a savoury, crispy pancake filled with a variety of ingredients. It is a specialty from central and southern Vietnam, but it is enjoyed throughout the country.
The name “banh xeo” translates to “sizzling cake” in English, referring to the sound the batter makes when poured onto a hot griddle.
14) Bánh Xèo 76
This small restaurant in DaNang is great! The staff are very friendly, which always helps to have an enjoyable dining experience.
All ingredients are fresh, and the bahn xeo are super crispy, but not oily, and that’s important.
They also have Ram bap, which are corn fried rolls, and they’re delicious.
Another dish I recommend here is bun thit nuong (noodles with grilled pork), it’s very good.
Address: 5 Dương Thị Xuân Quý, Bắc Mỹ An, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng 550000, Vietnam
A little hard to find down an alleyway, and you must pass some other restaurants with very similar names, but it’s worth it.
This place is popular with locals and my Grab driver recommended it to me. I enjoyed some tasty bánh xèo (crispy stuffed rice pancake) here, but the real hero of the dish isn’t the bánh xèo itself, but the delicious dipping sauce.
It’s savoury, sweet, and buttery, with flavours of roasted peanuts and charred pork.
Bánh xèo comes in a serving of 4 pancakes for VND 80,000, but if you’re eating solo, you can ask for a 1/2 serving. You will be served rice paper, salad/herbs, and the dipping sauce alongside the crispy pancakes.
If you’re unsure how to eat this dish, just watch how the locals do it and you’ll soon get the hang of it.
Bun Cha is a mouthwatering dish with a special place in Vietnamese cuisine. It is a classic and beloved food in Vietnam and some fantastic Bun Cha restaurants in Danang to get your fix!
Bun Cha combines succulent grilled pork, vermicelli noodles, and a variety of fresh herbs and dipping sauce to create a harmonious culinary experience.
The hero is the grilled pork marinated in fish sauce, sugar, garlic, and other spices. The pork is then grilled over an open flame, imparting a smoky and charred aroma that enhances its taste.
Bun Cha starts with a plate piled high with soft, thin vermicelli noodles; it’s the perfect base for the dish. Accompanying the noodles is a generous serving of fresh herbs such as mint, coriander, and perilla leaves, which add a refreshing and fragrant element to the dish.
A bowl of charred pork pieces and pork patties are served in addition to a dipping sauce, a tangy mixture of fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, and chili.
This is the best Bun Cha in Da Nang! Fantastic char-grilled BBQ pork pieces and patties served with rice noodles, vegetables, and that delicious pork flavoured broth it comes in. The spring rolls are amazing too!
This restaurant is very clean and well-run, I’d definitely return here for another serving of Bun Cha in the future.
One of the best Danang Vietnam Restaurants for Bun Cha
Bun Cha Ca is a Vietnamese dish that features fish cake noodles. It is particularly popular in Da Nang and other coastal regions of Vietnam, where seafood is abundant. “Bun” refers to the rice vermicelli noodles used in the dish, and “Cha Ca” specifically refers to the fish cakes.
To enjoy Bun Cha Ca, you typically place the fish cakes and herbs on top of the noodles in a bowl and then pour the hot broth or sauce over them.
The noodles absorb the flavours of the broth, and you can mix everything together before eating.
17) Hờn Fishcake Noodle Soup
This restaurant serves the traditional dish of Da Nang City, fish cake noodle soup.
The prices are very reasonable, at VND 30,000 for their signature fishcake noodle soup dish. After tasting this soup, you can see why this place is popular with locals.
The light broth in this dish is amazing, combining the flavours of tomato, pumpkin, pineapple, bamboo shoot, and cabbage.
Once the fresh noodles and fish cakes are added, this dish is a winner!
